Well, long overdue to get some new stuff on the website. But will have to wait a bit longer. In the meantime, though, here is a link to a Youtube video on cleaning up dog waste around the pond - yup, you really should!

Thanks to those who showed up for the road cleanup! We'll try again next year for the pond picnic. Hope all those on the pond for the next few weeks enjoy the pond as it gets ready for it's winter nap.

Not to be alarmist But It Can Happen Here:

Maine lakes in danger of being overtaken by invasive plants

Looking forward to another season on the pond. Those of us living on South Shore Colony , Cove, and Clean Sweep Roads will find some changes as the high voltage line project is well underway but it should be out of sight once we reach the shore and, hopefully, out of mind as we enjoy the beauty and quiet of the pond.

Always looking for submittals for the website: calendar, pictures, events, historical information, classifieds, suggestions, etc.

Here is the new  watershed map for the pond courtesy of Maine DEP.

The 2010 report on Maine lake water quality by the VLMP is now available.

Some Secchi data from August 2010 and a dissolved oxygen/temperature profile will be posted eventually.

Water quality info from the Water Quality group and Dick Hall's letter presented at the July 2010 meeting  has been posted. Click on the Water Quality button.

Looking for old newsletters, etc., please see the Archives.
